In 2009, the Rotary Club of Columbia Falls decided to start an Annual Rifle Raffle. Since that time, we’ve had an annual rifle raffle of either a custom-built rifle made to our specifications or a high-quality rifle from a local firearms manufacturer, again…made to our specifications.
The Inaugural Rifle
Rather than grab a quality hunting rifle off the shelf, we decided to make the first rifle raffle extra-special – and all about Columbia Falls.
Ideally, our goal was to source 100% of the rifle here in town. We came *really* close (the barrel came from Wisconsin).
Valued at $3900, the 2009 rifle was a custom-made 300 WinMag was made by Grizzly Custom Guns of Columbia Falls Montana, who took our challenge and ran with it.
It was designed to be a high-end, high-accuracy, collector-class rifle that you’d still want to take out in the woods, so we included features like a floating barrel, a lightweight textured stock from Columbia Falls’ Lone Wolf Rifle Stocks, a Bartlein 30-cal 4 groove barrel with a 1:10 twist and a 11 degree target crown, a custom muzzle brake, accurized action (more on that topic), a tuned Timney Trigger and much more.
The photos below (click them for a larger, closer look) illustrate some of the high-end features of this magnificent rifle. (more to come, still working on getting details for this page).
A maximum of 500 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $20 each (6 for $100) and can be obtained by contacting any Columbia Falls Rotarian.

A totally unhappy, disgruntled, feeling
completely ripped off investor in products
that do not work as advertised and have
wasted hundreds, if not thousands, of hours
of time and money. Softvelocity (CEO/President) has riipped all of us off.
They have taken much money from all of us without
providing a product that works as advertised.
It’s time to stop this SCAM of lies and deceat. Enough is enough.
It’s time for retibution!!! The CEO/President needs to step asside so someone with
real business savvy can come in and save this company. The CEO/President of
company like Softvelocity should not be answering technical questions on a
newsgroup. The President/CEO should be out there promoting the company,
finding investors, evangelizing and doing everything possible to spread the word. NOT
ANSERING TECHINCAL QUESTIONS ON A NEWSGROUPS!!! Promote/Sell,
Promote/Sell. Then SV might afford to hire the talent to make
Clarion are REAL player!!!
